The game has different modes such as shred session, tech session, and tutorial modes. Players can choose to play as either Goofy or Max and there are tutorials available to teach them how to perform tricks. During gameplay, either character will provide commentary. The game consists of four worlds, each with three levels or locations. To progress to the next level, the player needs a key. Before starting gameplay, the player can choose a skateboard. Completing objectives rewards the player with keys and points are awarded for performing tricks like 50/50, nosegrind, unbelievable, and kickflip.
